I was out shopping and sashayed down the tablecloth aisle. A tablecloth that quite similar to my mom's old curtains caught my eye, so did the price $200. Nah, I'm not going to fork out that kind of money just to get one tablecloth. So I've got an idea! I went back home and turned my mom's old curtains into a tablecloth. I love how it turned out, so I wanted to share it with you.
What you will need:
- Fabric Scissors
- Any nice Old Curtains
- Pins
- Sewing Machine
- Threads
- Fabric Marker
- Measuring Tape
Directions:
- Grab your measuring tape and use it to determine the length and width of your table
- Write down the measurements on a piece of paper
- Lay out your old curtain and mark the dimensions out
- Fold over an inch of fabric on all 4 sides and pin the hem you have created
- Sew the hem neatly
Voila! Now you have a great excuse to invite your friends over for dinner and show off your DIY Creation!
So my crafty friends, do not throw away your old curtains, recycle them and be proud of your work & creativity.
I do not even know how I ended up here, but I thought this post was great.
